Uninstalling UPA

Complete the following tasks to uninstall Universal Policy Administrator:

1. Log in to a member server as a domain administrator.
2. Select to Uninstall Universal Policy Administrator from the Windows Control Panel on the installed computer.
3. The Uninstall UPA dialog box opens.
4. Select the checkbox to ‘Remove all program data during uninstallation’ if you do not plan to re-install UPA in the future.
5. Click Next -> Uninstall
6. Click Close when uninstall completes.

Please note: If you plan to re-install UPA in the future, do not check the box to ‘Remove all program data during uninstallation.’  When you run the new install and point it to the same SQL database, then it will maintain your Universal Policies, links, Views, etc.
